Absolutely super pix of how the Electra functions, how well it works, how easy it is to shoot...... and...... how exceptionally accurate it is! How weather tight is the Electra? How reliable is it? Good questions. You can't go scuba diving with it, but it is pretty weather tight, very well sealed against normal water exposure. My best friend here, Scott, is an electrical engineer with quite a background. I had to tease and tantalize him with one of the firing mechanisms I obtained from CVA. When he took it apart, he was amazed at how well it was sealed and the safety functions built into the system, both electronic AND mechanical! It is VERY well engineered. CVA spent a lot of money developing this, and it shows! There are instances where the firing mechanism has failed, but we, Scott more particulary, has not chased down the circuitry to see what component failed as of this writing. But it is not a big deal to replace. My understanding is CVA just sends you another gun. Anything can fail..... all you have to do is sit here in the office every day and field all the misfire problems with the mechanical mechanism of the TC guns to know the TC guns are FAR from fail safe. For the less technically inclined buy and go shoot type of shooter the Electra is FAR more reliable than the Encore, G2, or especially the Contender, and it is FAR, FAR simpler to work with.
