Bergara barrels that I have completely reworked to custom level quality, better than factory new, and with my minimum diameter re-throating for optimum accuracy from single shots!

Barrels are shipped from Kurt's inventory in Colorado.

A common question is whether a barrel is drilled & tapped for scope.

Unless indicated otherwise, ALL barrels have at least the standard TC 4 6-48 scope base screw holes.

Details About My Reworked Bergara Barrels:

While I was a consultant to Bergara, I was able to buy a large lot of barrels with a variety of issues that final quality control at the warehouse in Georgia had sorted out. With over 30 years of barrel work behind me at the time, I did what was not cost effective for Bergara to do to not only correct the issues, but take the barrels to a higher level of custom craftsmanship.

This is what I do in the process of reworking these barrels:

1) Barrel lugs hardened to stiffen the lip of the barrel lug below the locking bolts.... the point that takes the pressure load.

2) Locking bolts are fitted for optimum lockup tightness.

3) The breech is faced off to permit shimming the firing pin bushing forward so you can adjust headspace.

4) Throat extended, minimum diameter for best accuracy & better suited for monolithic/solid bullets.

5) Welds are redone for both safety and cosmetics.

6) All screw holes bottom tapped to give up to 7 threads (turns) of contact to minimize scope mounts shooting loose and/or stripping threads.

7) Stainless barrels fine sandblast refinished for a non-reflective matte finish.

8) All barrels test fired for chamber finish, dimensions, extraction, & function.
