T/C COMPASS MAIN TRIGGER RETURN SPRING SINGLE
The Compass trigger is adjustable but only down to a little over 4lbs. For some that may be acceptable but for us we are STICKLERS for a nice light consistent trigger. We went to work on the design of our springs and just like our Encore spring kits we discovered that having just one spring wasn't enough to reduce the pull weight down to as light as we prefer for bench rest shooting. So we manuactured two different pull weight springs, one for controlled shooting ie bench rest and the other for general hunting/shooting. Lets face it, not everyone like a hair trigger so we allow you to choose what you prefer. If you are unsure which one to buy we sell the trigger return springs separate.
This listing is for the MAIN SPRING ONLY, choose from the drop down menu a LIGHT or HEAVY. If you ordered a COMPASS SPRING kit it will come with a sear spring, a secondary trigger return spring, and your choice of a heavy or light MAIN trigger return spring. Save money and choose the kit that works best for you, or add the alternate spring for fine tuning. The heavy main spring should provide a pull weight just under 3 lbs where the light main spring was just under 2 in our testing. This is an approximate pull weight but with proper setup as demonstrated in our instructions you can obtain a perfectly light trigger. The LIGHT trigger is not for everyone, so use caution when installing and only use in CONTROLLED shooting environments. In our drop tests we could not get the HEAVY main spring to release BUT we could get the LIGHT to release if dropped on a very hard surface from a moderate height of over a foot from the ground. Of course if the weapon was on SAFE it would not. DISCLAIMER and WARNING! You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase this product. We advise that all BELLM TCs LLC products be installed and/or inspected after installation by a qualified gunsmith. Modifying sear and engagement surfaces are done at your own risk and we highly recommend that you DO NOT modify, hone or polish any sear or engagement surfaces with anything but the BELLM TCs LLC sear hone and polishing stones and only follow the BELLM TCs LLC instructions. Reducing trigger pull weight below 1.5 lbs of pull is NOT recommended due to the manufactures design, there is a chance that dropping the firearmcould cause a discharge at ANY reduced pull weight. It is your responsibility to inform, educate, and warn anyone using your modified weapon as to it's design, function, and its unique and safe handling. Before installing check with all STATE and FEDERAL laws, there may be a law that prohibits you from modifying your firearm and it is up to you to know these laws and abide by them.
