Description
The Bellm TCs trigger detent plunger for early production Contender triggers is a perfect replacement. Made to our exacting quality control standards and from a more corrosion resistant stainless steel our trigger detent plunger is a great
way to upgrade the trigger of your early production Contender.
This trigger detent plunger is to compliment our Sku1425 trigger return spring on early production Contenders. Fits most Contender frames 195K serial number and below that have a horizontal trigger return spring.
Instructions to install are quite simple. Remove the trigger guard pin and then the trigger guard stop screw. With the trigger guard removed from the receiver punch out the striker pin and then the trigger pin using a 3/32 pin punch. Some models have a split striker pin, most models have a solid trigger pin. With all the components removed now is a good time to clean the hole of the trigger return spring and all components of the trigger guard and a great time to install a new trigger guard return spring. A simple way to obtain a great trigger job is to grind down some of the length of the spring to get to a desired pull weight. Reinsall the trigger return spring replacing the detent plunger with your new one and striker. If having troubles getting the pins to align use the 3/32 punch as an alignment tool, a small flat blade screw driver on the back of the trigger can help compress the spring and trigger into proper alignment. Reinstall striker and trigger guard to frame. Job Done.
NOTE: Pictured is the correct trigger guard assembly that this product works with, please verify your trigger guard assembly appears to be the same before ordering. This product listing is for the detent plunger only.
