ONE OF OUR BEST SELLERS!
Pictured everything except the hammer, the older generation Contender hammers have a turn face selector for rimfire and centerfire. The nose is serviced by depressing spring placed between two detent bearings and is easily replaced with a small flat blade screw driver and a pair of small needle nose pliers or forceps. Also note in the picture that this hammer has the slide safety which can also be maintained at the same time using our G2/Contender firing pin return spring. Also note how the schematics say a CLIP holds the hammer nose in place, well on a select few I've encountered the clip while most have a screw. The hammer can be removed by tapping out the hammer pivot pin (33). From the back of the hammer, unscrew the hammer nose screw, depress the detent bearings on both sides of the hammer through the holes on each side of hammer while turning the hammer nose then push out from the back of the hammer. To reinstall, I use small forceps to hold the bearings inside the hole then slide the hammer nose into place, turning until bearings appear in detent holes. Finally tighten hammer nose screw.Includes 1ea:
