TWO SET SCREWS ENGAGE THE GROOVES IN THE TOP OF THE HAMMER SPUR TO LOCK THE EXTENSION IN PLACE! CANNOT SLIDE FORWARD! CLEARS GRIPS OR BUTTSTOCKS THAT STICK UP ABOVE THE METAL LINE BY LOCKING THE SET SCREWS INTO FORWARD HAMMER SPUR GROOVES.
Our new design fits Thompson Center Contender with NO Safety or the Cross Bolt Safety. If you turn the face of the hammer to select from Rimfire or Centerfire, your hammer has a wider spur.
This model does NOT FIT hammers with a selector lever for Centerfire/Safety/Rimfire, see our standard triple Lock for Encore. Look at the second picture, if your Contender has the selector NOSE hammer than this is the one to get.
Our exclusive extension uses a total of 3 set screws, 2 keyed into the grooves on the top of the hammer and the traditional screw from the side.
THE TWO SET SCREWS ON TOP LET YOU ADJUST THE HAMMER EXTENSION SO IT FITS LEVEL WITH THE GUN. Slots are centered in the extension, and the extension body is round instead of square like the older designs.
Over tightening the set screw may bend the rather thin hammer spur shank. Our design makes it unnecessary to use excessive force tightening the main set screw on the side. Instructions, allen keys and hardware included.
