HOW TO INSTALL CONTENDER HAMMER SPRING

Bellm T/Cs is here to make installing a Contender Hammer Spring as easy as possible. We will go through the tools you need and breakdown how to exactly change the spring.

What you will need?

Small Hammer

Flathead Screwdriver

Bellm T/Cs 3/32” Pin Punch 

Bellm T/Cs 3/16” Pin Punch

 Bellm T/Cs Hammer Spring 

And a vice to make things easier

Step 1:

Remove the hammer by knocking out the 3/16” Assembly Pin.

Step 2:

Using your Bellm T/Cs 3/16” Pin Punch, insert the punch on the right side. This will keep the hammer in its position lined up to the assembly pin. Using your Bellm T/Cs 3/32” Pin Punch, go in from the opposite side and this is what you will use to capture the coils when you compress it with the screwdriver.

Step 3:

With the flathead screwdriver use some force to push the coil down and capture the coil with the Bellm T/Cs 3/32” Pin Punch. Once you’ve captured to the coil, push the Bellm T/Cs 3/16” Pin Punch further inside while simultaneously pushing the Bellm T/Cs 3/32” Pin Punch out.

Step 4:

With your hammer and 3/16” Assembly Pin, hammer the assembly pin back in pushing out the Bellm T/Cs 3/16” Pin Punch. There you have it!
