New manufacture custom made to our specs from 1018 tool steel for a virtually un breakable replacement screw
Fits original TC Contenders no safety or cross block safety, DOES NOT fit most easy open Contenders, (note the difference in the picture back one page on the interlock safety spring page) Pictured with the interlock and spring which are not included. The original part was incredibly brittle and I've found a number of original frames where the factory used loc tight compounding the failure rate of this OEM screw. TIPS: If you have never maintained the interlock and spring, be sure to try the old soldering iron trick, I set a soldering iron on the head of screw for a good 10 minutes before attempting to loosen. When re installing, I use a small amount of grease on rotating part screw and spring cavity to hold spring and use small needle nose to align. I don't like to use lock tight on this screw but if you do decide to use something try a tiny amount of black RTV gasket maker.
