encore prohunter g2 sear spring installation pliers -sp
Installing the trigger/sear spring is the hardest part of reassembling an Encore or G2 frame. Our custom hand forged professional pliers make it quick and easy!
You only have to lose or damage one custom Encore/G2 trigger/sear spring to really appreciate these pliers! The hooked "salmon jaws" hold the spring captive while you catch it with either the sear pivot pin or a 3/32" pin punch. This photo shows using the specially forged pliers installing the spring into the sear using the "assembly pin," but it is at its best installing the spring into the sear with the sear held in place in the frame with its pivot pin started in from one side and a 3/32" pin punch holding it on the other side, but leaving the space in the sear for the spring open. You push the spring into position, then capture it with the pivot pin and punch as also shown on the Encore Trigger Job instructions available either as a free download from the main www.bellmtcs.com website or our updated printed shop manual. In the process of doing trigger jobs, especially the Premium trigger jobs, I disassemble and reassemble frames sometimes a dozen times or more. Using these pliers, it takes only a few minutes to fully reassemble a frame and much, much longer without them. The pliers work equally well with the standard issue factory springs, so whether you are an individual doing just one trigger job for yourself or just doing routine cleaning and maintenance on your own frames, or you are a gunsmith doing trigger jobs routinely, the time saved using these pliers make them a must. No more fumbling and no more installing Encore trigger/sear springs that go flying into the unknown! Here is a tip for installing the springs: To properly position the sear in the frame for the correct installation of the spring, push the interlock back, pull the hammer part way back, then press down on the rear arm of the sear.... this is with the frame upside down, looking in from the bottom. This moves the opposite end of the sear into its forward position where you can catch it with the curved end of the spring instead of stabbing the spring through the opening in the sear. If when installed in the frame the spring does not bear on the forward/top surface of the sear, the frame will not function. With the hammer partially withdrawn, you can look down into the frame and see the top/curved end of the spring on the forward side of the sear. The adjacent picture here is what it looks like out of the frame. Bellm custom hand forged Encore & G2 Spring Pliers give you the control you need to quickly and easily install the trigger/sear spring with far less chance of losing a spring. Just another Bellm accessory to make shooting TC guns more rewarding.
